Just wanted to give a big "THANKS!" to Sandi, aka Twiggi34. She was my buddy that I gifted earlier in the swap. When she discovered that I hadn't yet received a package she sent me one (in addition to the one she sent her assigned pal). Sandi sent me some great yarn that I can't wait to knit with; I have already picked out a pattern for one of the yarns. There were plenty of other little goodies that made me smile.

Things are starting to get back to normal here so I thought I would give you an update......
...............I am preparing two lists:
The first, and most important, a list of those who have yet to receive anything from their partner...............and I will set about making sure they receive a package of goodies as soon as possible.
Thank you very much all of those kind souls who have offered to be angels. If I can I would like to angel as many packages as possible as I was the one who started the swap but if that is not possible your assistance will be greatly appreciated!
The second list is of all of those who flaked out - didn't bother to send anything to their partner but in many cases received a lovely package themselves..............they will be banned from all further activity and swaps. And other swap organisers read this blog and email me so I will be able to let them know who flaked out in this case.
I have ordered some yarn to dye up especially for those yet to receive anything and I am aiming to make it an extra special batch! Will keep you posted.

Sorry I have been absent of late. There has been some serious problems at home that have taken up most of my time but I have not forgotten you all!
I know there are still some people waiting on their packages and decided to give it a couple more weeks to see if it was just a sluggish postal system to blame or that some people were snowed under and had actually received their packages but had not had chance to post about them.
However, I do think that enough time has passed to allow for postal delays and I am going to start chasing up the missing packages.
Most of you have been great and posted when you have recieved your package to just to be sure I am going to contact everyone taking part in the swap this week to check their situation.
I hope this helps!

I can't help but wonder...where is Charlie and why isn't she dealing with these delinquent swappers? I can understand a delay of a few days, or a few weeks with explanation (e.g. the package is en route from Antarctica and the mail only gets picked up there once a month), but all this is extra sad since there are no ramifications for not sending the package.
And why aren't the delinquent knitters speaking up to defend themselves?
I too am feeling the pain of checking my porch each day for my package but, to no avail nothing as of yet. My swap partner has emailed twice saying that she would send it the following week. Hopefully this will be the week. I put a lot of time and effort into my partners package and mailed it ahead of time. My partner has promised me great things lets keep our fingers crossed.

It's toothfairy (Aimee) from Michigan. I haven't had any word from my swap buddy :( I had the best time sending stuff to twiggy (Sandi) but I am still waiting for my goodies. I am hoping that my pal lives in a really exotic location and that my package is on its way on the back of little gnome. Anyone out there?
"Hi! It's 5elementknitr. Great swap! I got my package today. I've had problems with my post office in the past but this time they've gone too far!
They ate my snacks, drank my drinks AND stole one of the skeins of yarn!
I'm sure it was an oversight on the part of my upstream partner, Luanda, but it's a little disappointing and I don't have her email to ask her what happened."

One of my Ravelry Friends says "Someone has been a very good girl for Santa to bring her presents this time of the year!" May be it is the truth? :)

My package from Zozzy in Russia arrived. It actually got here Saturday, but we were out when the mailman came by and because it needed to be signed for, he just left a slip in our box. I went to the PO today and picked it up. Look at the goodies she sent!
Some beautiful periwinkle colored yarn, coffee, chocolate (looks like dark and with almonds) I’ll be taste testing that soon. There was also a row counter and knitting gauge with metric conversions which I really needed a spoon, postcards, calendar and magnet with scenery from in and around St. Petersburg. Yay, yay yay!

Thanks so much, Glamgirl. I just love everything you sent. Oh, a couple of the makeup items are missing from the picture. My daughter nabbed them. I tried to fight her off, honest. lol

Thank you sooooooo much Jill, I feel so spoiled and you truly made my day! Everything is just WUNDERBAR! I only pitty that this isn't officially on Swapbot, I would give you thousand hearts for that if I could! And of course Charlie would deserve stars for this Swap, no Question!
I am OH SO FORTUNATE that Ruth is the world's most amazing swap pal! I checked my post office box last night and was delighted to find a marvelous little box STUFFED with wonderful goodness.
THREE skeins of yarn, jewley stitch markers and a sock-sized "stitch saver" (which came in a darling little tin), an ADORABLE little bird mirror, and a tiny sheep (who wandered out of the picture...silly sheep)! And coffee (mmm...coffee) and a super trail mix. The blues and greens and plums and teals remind me of a jitterbug yarn I saw a few days ago, which I ALMOST bought, which I think must have been 'dusk' but I'm not entirely sure. And the orangey red yarn on the right is so lovely, too!
I am so giddy with delight that I cannot come up with better adjectives than 'lovely' and 'marvelous' and 'delightful' and 'adorable' and 'wonderful.' And the package is ALL of these things, and more.
Ruth, you are a treasure. I am so lucky you are my swap pal, and I can only hope my downstream pal appreciates me HALF as much.

Thanks again so much, Carolyn!!! (Andy, Nelly and Dory send their thanks, too!)

I just can't believe how long postal delivery takes these days! I sent a Letter (!) airmail to Brasil 4 weeks ago, and it is still not received.
I don't want to wait 4 weeks for my parcel!!! Seing all these wonderful pictures makes me want mine NOW!
Waiting is the best and the worst about swapping, aint it......?
The yarn is gorgeous and colorful--my camera did not capture the darker one justly--it has these shots of fuschia in with the blues and greens etc...And I love my teeny glass kitty!!! ...And the keychain sock blocker and patern!!! And everything!
If I didn't have a bad back, oh wouldn't I just be hopping up and down. :D
Me and my new babies... Don´t they look just like me, the skeins and I? ;0)
Thank you thank yooouuu Meghann!
I am so pleased!
Here you find her stuff! :0)
Look at the "black" skein from Socks That Rock, it isn´t just black; you can find blue, green and grey in "Corbie". How cool!
And the pink punky one...WOW! "Dream In Color Cool Fire" It is Meghanns own dyed! AND a compliment -Knitter´s Balm Sample... Orange Cream with Shea Butter...Cool! Smart! Perfect for my dry hands!
Then we have White Bluberrytea. Smells wonderful! Have to try this tonight! Let´s see..then we have...Eggcandy...hihi
A flowerybag to keep my sockthings in, a notebook, a sweet measure (gâteau), a smaller bag with lovely stitchmarkers.

Recieved my package in the mail today from the Toothfairy!!
Lots of wonderful goodies. It's as if she knows me!! I love the colors and choices of yarns. On the left is Shibui Knits in a rust/orange color and on the right is Lorna's Laces in purple/grey/mustard/rasberry color. I got a project bag, hot chocolate, chocolate carmels, sticky notes, hand cream and a black sheep tape measure. All wrapped up in beauiful paper and a personal note!!! Well done!!
This has been sooo much fun! Happy knitting to all
2 skeins of Sox yarn from Berroco, one in a blue colorway (1477) and one in a multi (1424). I have a couple of patterns I've had my eye on that specify they do interesting things with self patterning yarn so now I have some - yippee!
A pretty green print project bag - just what I need to keep my supplies organized, just ask my husband! Felting needles and Clover circular needle point protectors. Yummy Ghirardelli hot chocolate mix and vanilla roll cookies. BTW the cookies are quite good dipped in the hot chocolate. Best of all a copy of Ana Paula Rimoli's Amigurumi World: Seriously Cute Crochet. I sat in bed last night and read through it, tons of cute patterns. And it got me inspired to finish my Amigurumi swap critter this morning.
Thank you so much!!!

A place where all the sock knitters who are taking place in the swap bot sock yarn swap can come together and chat!
Welcome to the Sock Knitters of the World Unite and Swap Blog!
Even better - why don't you join us?
We are a bunch of sock knitting devotees based all over the world and we are going to swap sock yarn and some other goodies!
Each participant will have one partner to whom they must send the following:
Two 100g skeins of sock yarn - it can be your own hand-dyed yarn or a sock yarn produced in your country. Natural fibres and blends only please - no 100% accrylic.
Two knitting notion items - stitch markers, needles, tape measures, project bags…..anything that you would consider essential kit for a sock knitter.
One hot drink item - by this I mean a packet of loose tea leaves, a tin of hot chocolate , a packet of coffee beans or a box of tea bags - depending on what your partner likes to drink.
An edible treat - this could be biscuits, chocolate, candy - again check your partners profile before choosing the item.
Finally, a surprise - check out your partners profile and surprise them with a little something based on their preferences.
