Karma

Just wanted to give a big "THANKS!" to Sandi, aka Twiggi34. She was my buddy that I gifted earlier in the swap. When she discovered that I hadn't yet received a package she sent me one (in addition to the one she sent her assigned pal). Sandi sent me some great yarn that I can't wait to knit with; I have already picked out a pattern for one of the yarns. There were plenty of other little goodies that made me smile.

An update!

Hi everyone!

Things are starting to get back to normal here so I thought I would give you an update......

...............I am preparing two lists:

The first, and most important, a list of those who have yet to receive anything from their partner...............and I will set about making sure they receive a package of goodies as soon as possible.

Thank you very much all of those kind souls who have offered to be angels. If I can I would like to angel as many packages as possible as I was the one who started the swap but if that is not possible your assistance will be greatly appreciated!

The second list is of all of those who flaked out - didn't bother to send anything to their partner but in many cases received a lovely package themselves..............they will be banned from all further activity and swaps. And other swap organisers read this blog and email me so I will be able to let them know who flaked out in this case.

I have ordered some yarn to dye up especially for those yet to receive anything and I am aiming to make it an extra special batch! Will keep you posted.

one sock done

Here is sock #1. It's "Mother Lode" by Lorna's Laces-Shepard Sock. The pattern is "Dublin Bay" by Mossy Cottage. I'm 1/3 done with Sock # 2 but I thought I'd show off. Thank you Toothfairy!!! Can't wait to see other's projects!!!

World's weirdest request

I know some of the yarns we received will be stashed for all eternity, and others may be re-gifted to friends, and other still may become things other than socks. But I was thinking, it would be neat if we each posted photos of the things we made out of our global sock-knitters yarn, if and when we do finally get around to making something out of it, since the blog doesn't ever expire.

If I ever get around to making something from my yarn, I certainly will post photos!
